Prayer in Sanskrit 

 

कालॆ कण्ठस्फुरदसुकलालॆशसत्तावलॊक-
    व्याग्रॆदग्रव्यसनरुदितस्निग्धरुद्धॊपकण्ठॆ ।
अन्तस्तॊदैरवधिरहितामार्तिमापाद्यमानॆऽ-
    प्यङ्घ्रिद्वन्द्वॆ तव निविशतामन्तरात्मन्ममात्मा ॥ ३८ ॥

kAlE kaNThasphuradasukalAlEshasattAvalOka-
    vyAgrEdagravyasanaruditasnigdharuddhOpakaNThE |
antastOdairavadhirahitAmArtimApAdyamAnE&-
    pya~gghridvandvE tava nivishatAmantarAtmanmamAtmA || 38 ||

(kAlE kaNTha sphurad asukalA lEsha satta avalOka-
    vyAgrEt agravyasana rudita snigdharuddhaH upakaNThE |
antastOdair avadhirahitAm Arti mA pAdyamAnE
    api a~gghri dvandvE tava nivishatAm antarAtman mama AtmA || )

Meaning of the Prayer Song:


 Even at that time, surrounded with the friends and relatives striving hard to 
observe the presence of the breath and the heart-beat in the chest,
with the flum inside and with the limitless suffering got,
oh the One inside my Atma, may my life resort to Your two Feet!


 Notes: 


1. sphurat - beat; asukalA - difficult; lesha - light; satta - seated;
avalOka - observe; vragra - distracted; vyasana - breathe; rudita - crying; snigdha - friend;
upakaNTha - below the throat / chest; antastoda - flum; avadhirahita - limitless;
ApAdya - got; a~gghri - foot; dvandva - pair; nivishatAm - resort to.

2.  antarAtman 
As the Ashtamurthi, Lord Shiva resides in the Atma as well.
