ನೂರನೋದಿ ನೂರ ಕೇಳಿ ಏನು?
ಆಸೆ ಬಿಡದು, ರೋಷ ಪರಿಯದು,
ಮಜ್ಜನಕ್ಕೆರೆದು ಫಲವೇನು?
ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಮನವಿಲ್ಲದ ಜಾತಿ ಡಂಬರ ನೋಡಿ
ನಗುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೂಡಲಸಂಗಮದೇವಾ.

Ase biDadu, rOSha pariyadu,
majjanakkeredu phalavEnu?
mAtinaMte manavillada jAti DaMbara nODi
naguva namma kUDalasaMgamadEvA.

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 What is the use of reading and hearing hundreds of things?
Without getting rid of the desire and without removing the anger,
what is the point in taking holy bath?
Looking at those brandishing their caste without the mind (as high) as the words,
the Divine of Kudalasangama will laugh.

 Notes: 

1. rOSha - anger; majjana - bathing.

2. The conduct is what is esteemed. If there is no conduct that is 
esteemable what is the point in brandishing the words or the caste?
It would be a vicious mindset! The benevolence should be the virtue to celebrate.
