Prayer in Sanskrit 

 

कस्ते बोद्धुं प्रभवति परं देवदेव प्रभावं
    यस्मादित्थं विविधरचना सृष्टिरेषा बभूव ।
भक्तिग्राह्यस्त्वमिह तदपि त्वामहं भक्तिमात्रात्
    स्तोतुं वाञ्छाम्यतिमहदिदं साहसं मे सहस्व ॥ १ ॥

kaste boddhuM prabhavati paraM devadeva prabhAvaM
    yasmAditthaM vividharachanA sRuShTireShA babhUva |
bhaktigrAhyastvamiha tadapi tvAmahaM bhaktimAtrAt
    stotuM vA~jChAmyatimahadidaM sAhasaM me sahasva || 1 ||

    yasmAt itthaM vivida rachanA sRuShTiH eShA babhUva |
bhakti grAhyaH tvamiha tadapi tvAmahaM bhakti mAtrAt
    stotuM vA~jChami ati mahat idam sAhasaM me sahasva || )

Oh Divine of the divines! Who can comprehend Your splendor 
- from where all these vivid creations have sprung up!
Still, since You are attracted by the devotion,
I am zealous to hail You only out of devotion.
Please bear with this height of my audacity!
