Meaning of the Prayer Hymn:
By Its order, whatever shines, shines.
That is what makes one wink.
That is the Supreme Deity.
Notes:
1. vidyut - flashing; nyamImiShad - makes wink.
2. So far, the Kenopanishad illustrated through the incident in which Uma,
the Haimavati, elucidated to Indra the Supreme Shiva, Who appeared as the Yaksha.
This hymn says the glory of that God.
3. It is by the grace of the Supreme Shiva those things that shine, shine.
It is by His grace that we are able to do even the minutest activity like winking.
It is this Supreme Deity that energizes all to do grand things to even smallest activities.
This connects back to the original question the Upanishad started with,
What force is energizing the vital activities?
