अ॒ग्निं दू॒तं वृ॑णीमहॆ॒ हॊता॑रं वि॒श्ववॆ॑दसम् ।
अ॒स्य य॒ज्ञस्य॑ सु॒क्रतु॑म् ॥ १.१२.१ ॥

Meaning of the Prayer Mantra:
May we please the Resplendent Lord, the One Who presides
the worship, the conveyer of all wealth,
the Skilful at this divine deed!
Notes:
1. dUta - conveyer; vRuNimahe - please; hOtA - priest;
vedas - wealth; sukratu - skilful.
2. This Rk is sung as the Samagana by names "Bruhat bharadvajam",
"Bruhatagneyam", "Bruhatsauram".
3. The Supreme Lord through Its aspects, is a bountiful giver of
all virtues. That Supreme is also the presider of the progress
we are making towards It, skilful as well in conducting this journey!
