வேதத்தை விட்ட அறம் இல்லை; வேதத்தின்
ஓதத் தகும் அறம் எல்லாம் உள; தர்க்க
வாதத்தை விட்டு மதிஞர் வளமுற்ற
வேதத்தை ஓதியே வீடு பெற்றார்களே.

Meaning of song:
Other than vedas there is no just thing;
In vedas all the just things to be learned are there;
Leaving aside the debates, wise people
learning the rich vedas itself got liberation!
Notes:
1. The vedas - rig, yajur, sAma, atharvaNa
- praise the Supreme Lord shiva in variety of
ways all through. Just by worshipping God
with vedas one gets to Bliss. The life of
uruththira pacupathi nAyanAr is a real example
of this.
