Om
Meaning of the Prayer Hymn:
Union of the foresaid couple (Rk and Sama) happens in the syllable Om,
like the way in union the couple coming together fulfill the desire of
each other.
Notes:
1. anyonyasya kAmam - mutual desire
This section is on the Udgita upasana in Chadogya upanishad.
In the earlier hymn the close relationship
between Rk and Sama was explained.
In this hymn nicely brings out quoting the union of the couple
the desire of both Rk and Sama is in extolling the "Om" - the Udgita.
Omkara is the manifestation of God. Worshipping that Omkara is the essense
from vedas.
