திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்

பாசிபடு குட்டத்திற் கல்லினைவிட் டெறியப்  
	படும்பொழுது நீங்கிஅது விடும்பொழுதிற் பரக்கும்  
மாசுபடு மலமாயை அருங்கன்மம் அனைத்தும்  
	அரனடியை உணரும்போ தகலும்பின் அணுகும்  
நேசமொடுந் திருவடிக்கீழ் நீங்காதே தூங்கும்  
	நினைவுடையோர் நின்றிடுவர் நிலையதுவே யாகி  
ஆசையொடும் அங்குமிங்கு மாகிஅல மருவோர்  
	அரும்பாச மறுக்கும் வகை அருளின்வழி யுரைப்பாம்.

Meaning of the Prayer Song:
When a stone is thrown on a mossy pond,
the moss temporarily moves away but shortly 
covers the surface again.
The filthy maya and karma move away when 
feeling the Feet of Lord Hara, but later come back.
Those who have the mind in love to sleep inseparably
under the Holy Feet, they would get stationed there.
The way to get rid of the tough bondage for those, 
who waver and get to trouble due to the desires, 
would be told through Grace.

 Notes: 
1. There are many who have the fortune to feel the
Supreme due to their tapas in the past and the Divine Grace.
Even then once the feeling is gone they become again 
the normal human beings - bonded again.
They get the glimpse of the Bliss, but unable to stay there.
But one has to stay in that great state like how 
Manikkavasgar describes it in this song.
